Stationery Giveaway!

Hi all and welcome to the start of another new week!!  Hope all is well with all of you.  Well, here it is, the moment you have been waiting for... my stationery giveaway.  Still haven't figured out what all will be included, but suffice it to say, it will be enough to write several beautiful letters to your own mothers! ;-)  So far, I have gathered together the stamps and a set of 24 notecards with envelopes.  Still need to go through my Lilly stash to see what I have to include.  There will also be a snickerdoodle mix, as I believe these cookies will travel the best if making a care package.  That's exactly what I'm doing for Eldest Son, except I'm making the cookies from scratch, but didn't think you would appreciate me sending you either really old cookies or just a recipe.  So, by tomorrow I should have the bag together with a pretty picture for you to see.

Now, to the rules:

One entry for following me and leaving a comment about why writing is important to you.

A second entry will be given if you tweet this giveway and let me know (@4kidlets).

Another entry if you mention this giveaway on your blog or post it on Facebook, again just let me know.

So, you have a total of 4 entries!

The giveaway starts today and will end on June 30 at midnight.  The winner to be chosen on July 1st by Eldest Daughter who will be celebrating her 6th birthday.  Please note, you do not have to leave multiple comments, as I'm going to let Eldest Daughter draw the name, I simply need to know how many entries.

Well, I must run and get myself organized!  TTFN!

XOXO,

Kim

  2. Oh how I love stationery!!! Hand writing a note to someone is becoming so rare in todays society. So much is done by email and texting that it loses the personal touch. I love receiving a thoughtful note on beautiful stationery. (Can't do that my email.)

  4. Love the giveaway! Writing is important to me because it gives a personal touch. You can get an email from anyone. Writing a letter takes time and has a personal an appeal. In college my mum sent me letters all the time, and still send me handwritten letters in the mail. I love every single one and cherish them.

  5. Wonderful giveaway! I'm a follower, and a huge fan of personal stationery and the written word. I think the demise of good manners and civility is proportional with the increase in communications technology - in this age of emails, texts and tweets, the well-written letter is a lost art. I make a point of writing and sending at least 3 handwritten notes a week to friends or family. It's such a joy to find a pretty envelope in the mail box!

  7. Great giveaway! I love writing because it is a great way to keep in touch with friends and is a lot more personal than email/facebook/etc. It brightens a person's day to see some real mail and not just bills. Now since I'm moving, I'm relying on mail more and more.

  9. OMG! How did I miss this giveaway?!?!? Lordy, I've been so wrapped up in my own nonsense that I've almost missed it.

Writing has always been important to me. I was an English Major in college, with a concentration in Journalism. Nothing will ever replace the feeling of receiving a hand written card/note in the mail. Nothing will ever replace sitting down at my Queen Anne Writing Desk to write a note to someone who is dear to me. Everything is so fast these days. People don't seem to take the time to enjoy the written word. I will never quit writing notes. I will never quit reading a print newspaper (well, as long as they still exist!). AND...I will never buy a Kindle. I'll take my words on paper please :)

I am a follower AND am tweeting about your giveaway now!
