Summer in a Glass

Hi all!  Today I want to tell you about the inspiration I found in a glass.  No!  Not a glass of wine! :)  I found inspiration in a fabulus glass of Watermelon-Strawberry Lemonade from the "Essentially Lilly A Guide to Colorful Entertaining" by Lilly Pulitzer and Jay Mulvaney.  First of all, the recipe is beyond simple.

Here are some of the steps:

Just cube your watermelon and hull your strawberries

And place in the blender with water

There are no more pictures or steps, as I prefer my guests to think I slaved all day!  Granted, if they read this post and check out the link, they'll be on to me!  Note to self, perhaps I should keep more secrets!  But how can I keep such a great summer mocktail to myself?!

Here are the kids enjoying their summer treat...

Ittybit has two pictures, because I thought her lemonade mustache was too cute!

Even the baby liked this summer treat!

There is the inspiration.  Ahh, summer breezes and lazy days.  Creative energy put to good use!  Now, just wait to see what it inspired me to do for dinner.  But, I'm feeling lazy and will share tomorrow...

What is your summer inspiration?  I would love to know.  TTFN!

Oh, here's a fun summer themed giveaway at Desperately Seeking Seersucker

XOXO,

Kim

  1. Yum!!! I use to make something like that in college, but would add ice to make it more like a slush! Love it!

  3. I was thinking the same thing! Would cut back on the water, though. It would become to watered down with the full water amount and your drink of choice! Just remember, don't mix it with the painkillers! ;) Hope you're doing feeling better. XOXO!
